I have found studying the headings; Anthropomorphism and
Minimalism very interesting. In anthropomorphism the characters aren’t only
created to form friendly faces and figures that children and adults alike can
relate too. They also share a deeper message either teaching key life skills or
targeting current social affairs. I have found that in Minimalist work,
although there isn’t a lot happening on the canvas in the way of image, the simplicity
that is shown allows the viewer to decipher the meaning of the piece of art and
that the artists have a process that is in fact very consuming in time and head
space to create the perfect minimalist piece of work.
